The opening and distribution of internal and external post, requests for prescriptions; dealing with queries Contacting patients to arrange appointments. To record administration events within patient records Handling specimens and ensuring the appropriate forms have been completed accurately To deal with telephone calls to facilitate timely and appropriate communications with others and taking messages accurately and within a timely manner. Document management Scanning and forwarding clinical letters Processing medication requests. To arrange ambulances and patient transport as required Other duties as required. Safeguarding: The post holder will demonstrate a good understanding of safeguarding and will strictly adhere to Practice safeguarding policies and procedures. Confidentiality: Information relating to patients, carers, colleagues, other healthcare workers or the business of the Practice may only be divulged to authorised persons in accordance with the Practice policies and procedures relating to confidentiality and the protection of personal and sensitive data.
