Job Introduction
The Hackney Carriage & Private Hire Licensing Service is responsible for the licensing, inspection and enforcement of Hackney Carriage and Private Hire drivers, vehicles and operators across the Bradford District. The key objectives of the service are to promote safety for the public using taxi and private hire vehicles.
We are looking for 2 Business Support Officers with excellent customer service skills and attention to detail to join our dedicated team in the Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Licensing Service.
You will be assisting the Licensing Service in the provision of a flexible and proficient administrative service dealing with generic and service specific duties. You will be providing a prompt and effective service providing information, advice and support to customers, officers in other parts of the council, other public sector bodies and external agencies.
The main responsibilities of this role:
- Customer contact via email, telephone and in person
- Data inputting and updating of client information. Tracking and monitoring cases and extracting information from various sources for reporting purposes and various audiences including court.
- Document management, organising and co-ordinating diaries and rotas, setting up meetings, activities, events and contacts.
- Co-ordinating diaries, minute taking, communicating with clients and professionals
- Ordering of equipment, goods and services and setting up new staff as part of facilitating the effective and efficient delivery of service
- The ordering or production of statutory plates and badges for vehicles and drivers, checking for compliance
