Job Title: Complex Needs Teaching Assistant

About the Role
NextGen Teachers are seeking a compassionate and committed Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Keighley. This role involves supporting pupils with a range of complex needs, including learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and communication challenges.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about inclusive education and making a real difference in the lives of young people. The role is initially offered on a temporary basis, with the potential for ongoing work.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to students with complex needs
- Assist with personal care requirements, including feeding, toileting, and mobility
- Support communication using methods such as PECS, Makaton, or visual aids
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff
- Help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment
- Track and report on student progress and wellbeing

Requirements
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN or complex needs is highly desirable
- A patient, caring, and resilient approach
- Comfortable supporting personal care needs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- The right to work in the UK
- An enhanced DBS on the update service
- The ability to provide 24 months of professional references
