Volunteering Officer (Philanthropy and Student Opportunity)

University of Leeds

Leeds, West Yorkshire Expires in 8 Days

Please note occasional evening and weekend work is required for this role
This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
Are you skilled in working with volunteers? Are you passionate about the value and the impact of giving time to everyone involved? Can you grow the number and variety of volunteering opportunities, so more people are benefiting?
We are looking for an experienced Volunteer Officer to grow and develop volunteering opportunities that engage and excite our most senior alumni and supporters, and leverage their substantial skills, experience and influence. From their input on strategy to providing internships and placements, as expert speakers or senior mentors, our Leeds community of experts can offer some of the most valuable insights and opportunities to the University.
You will also develop our range of opportunities for volunteers at all levels focused on enhancing the experience of our students and recent graduates, and creating the most potential for their future success.
Focusing on both of these priorities you will proactively identify and understand the opportunities and needs across the University where volunteers can make a positive impact, assess the needs and interests of our alumni and supporters, and work collaboratively to create, implement and measure volunteer activities that are relevant to the needs and skills of the volunteer and have strategic impact for the University.
