Sweeper needed in Huddersfield, £12.65ph PAYE - Reference: 000A 4C10 / 1

• Undertake street sweeping, litter clearance; weed removal and digging/grubbing out verges. Bag up waste and transport to agreed locations for collection.
• Clear accumulations of waste including fly tipped wastes, dead animals, hypodermic needles and syringes etc. Report sites where items need to be cleared.
• Empty litter bins and dog fouling bins and report damaged and regularly overflowing bins.
• Strive to promote attractive and successful communities, completing work to satisfactory standards and work in compliance with procedures and service expectations.
• Undertake snow clearing and salt spreading in inclement weather as directed.
• Communicate appropriately with customers, staff and other stakeholders and reports any accidents, faults or repair needs promptly.
• Complete timesheets, accident books or other records in a timely manner.
• Following appropriate training work in other areas of Cleansing to cover for staff absences.
• Following appropriate training you may also be required to support the control of obstructive plants, weeds, and shrubs through spraying of weeds using manual applicators and cutting back, using handheld tools to remove overgrown vegetation.

This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis.
