We’re looking for a motivated and proactive Planning Department Team Leader to join our team and drive operational excellence. In this role, you’ll lead a dedicated planning team, ensuring service levels are consistently met while fostering a supportive, high-performance culture. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with leadership skills, attention to detail, and a passion for improving processes to make a real impact on both our team and our customers.

Working hours - 8.00am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday

Salary - £29,750

Key Responsibilities:

  • Measure and monitor the performance of the planning team, ensuring targets and KPIs are met.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and feedback through regular one-to-one meetings and performance reviews.
  • Manage staff rotas (including holidays and breaks) to maintain full operational cover and service continuity.
  • Offer both field and office-based feedback to support performance improvement.
  • Motivate and engage the team to create a positive and productive working environment.
  • Ensure all employees adhere to company procedures, including attendance requirements.
  • Maintain the highest standards of GDPR compliance across the team.
  • Identify, pitch, and work with management to implement process improvements.
  • Handle escalated customer complaints effectively, resolving issues with minimal management intervention and seeking support where needed for more complex cases.

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year’s experience in a similar role.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency with Word documents, spreadsheets, and email systems.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities with a practical approach to challenges.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
