As an early years apprentice you will work as a member of the nursery team to ensure that all children attending the setting receive high quality care, are kept safe and receive rich and stimulating play experiences which meet their individual needs.

You will support the day-to-day care and education of children aged 0–5 years. You will work under the supervision of qualified staff while studying toward a Early Years Educator qualification.

Training as an Early Years Educator will allow you to contribute to a high quality caring environment for children, creating a warm, friendly and stimulating atmosphere in which the children can develop emotionally, socially and educationally through individual attention and group activities.

Requirements

A genuine passion for working with children
Willingness to learn and undertake training
Good communication and teamwork skills
Patience, reliability, and a caring nature
Ability to follow instructions and show initiative
Some understanding of the importance of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene in the workplace
A minimum of Maths & English GCSE 4 or above Grade (or to be attained within an agreed time frame)
A Science GCSE 4 or above Grade
