HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter
Location: Leeds
Salary: £44,460 - £46,930 pa + overtime at time and a half
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7am – 5pm
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time

Vector Recruitment Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter to join a growing drainage and waste management business based in Yorkshire.

You’ll play a vital role in maintaining and repairing a fleet of specialist tankers, HGVs, and plant machinery, ensuring they remain safe, reliable, and fully operational.

The Role

- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on tankers, vehicles, and plant equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
- Complete pre-PMI checks to ensure safety and compliance
- Perform minor accident repairs when required
- Maintain accurate service and repair records

About You

- Proven experience as an HGV Technician, Mechanic, or Fitter
- Strong knowledge of vehicle and plant maintenance procedures
- Confident diagnosing faults in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality workmanship
- Full UK Driving Licence (HGV Desirable)
- Experience working on tankers / drainage vehicles (desirable)

Pay and Hours

- Monday to Friday, 7am – 5pm
- £44,460 - £46,930 pa
- Overtime available at time and a half
