Slitting Machine Operative

£13.27 per hour, weekly pay and accrued holiday pay

12 hour shifts on a rota basis working days (7am-7pm) and nights (7pm-7am)

Concept Recruitment are delighted to be working with our Leeds based client to recruit a Slitting Machine Operative on a temporary to permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established company who can offer stability and progression.

Duties of role:

· Responsible for running a slitting machine (full training provided)
· Ensuring that slitting jobs are prioritised and organised in line with the production schedule
· Operating the machine in line with site health and safety, environmental and quality standards
· Ensuring the work area is clean, tidy and obstruction free
· Ensuring all documentation is correctly filled out and signed on completion of job
· Communicating with the Slitting Manager and Shift Manager
· Ensuring that all quality standards are met

Person Specification:

· Previous experience in a production environment is essential
· Full understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards in a production environment
· Reliable, motivated, and enthusiastic approach to work
· A keenness to learn new skills and to show a flexible attitude
· Competent communications skills both verbal and written
· Have a reasonable level of fitness as the role involves some physical activity e.g. lifting and bending

This is a full time role which will become permanent for the right candidate. Suitable candidates must be able to commit to the 12 hour shifts on a rota basis working days (7am-7pm) and nights (7pm-7am)
