The Best Connection are looking for an experienced Assembly Operative on a full-time basis in Shipley, BD17.
Some of the duties of an Assembly Operative will include but is not limited to:

Assembly of metal components and products according to technical drawings, work instructions, and quality standards.

Use of a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively (e.g., drills, grinders, riveters, wrenches, etc.).

Handle and prepare raw materials (metals) for assembly, including cutting, shaping, and finishing as required.

Carry out quality checks during and after assembly to ensure accuracy and consistency.
-
Maintain a clean and organised work area in compliance with health & safety standards.

Report any defects, safety concerns, or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor promptly.

Follow company policies, standard operating procedures and health & safety guidelines at all times.

Assist with general production duties as required to support the team and meet deadlines.
To be successful in this role we are looking for the following skills & experience:

Proven experience in an assembly, fabrication, or manufacturing environment-preferably working with metals.

Competence in using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.

Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of assembly processes.

Awareness and practical knowledge of workplace health & safety procedures (e.g., PPE, manual handling, risk assessment).

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or assembly instructions (desirable).

Good attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Team player with good communication and time management skills.
