Following training, prepare for and perform specific delegated clinical procedures. Eg, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, urine testing, weighing mothers and babies, obtaining venous blood samples and neonatal blood tests. Assist midwives in clinic by setting up the clinic session, ordering and collecting stock and leaflets, taking and recording physical measurements, following up results and arranging appointments. Contribute to and maintain accurate, clear and reliable records, documenting care given to mothers and babies, using electronic systems.
