To take a lead role in the advanced assessment and diagnosis of a highly complex caseload within breast imaging using advanced practice skills. To act as an expert practitioner demonstrating advanced clinical competencies and a knowledge base beyond those associated with an enhanced radiographer role. To be professional, legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of the work undertaken including the management of patients within the post holders care. To offer leadership, consultancy and specialist education for experienced staff and possess the ability to develop Clinicians/Radiologists/ Radiographers and other staff within radiology and the Trust. To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, working within codes of practice and professional guidelines with accountability for own actions. To be involved in the daily organisation and delivery of the breast imaging service. To use analytical and judgemental skills to interpret and independently analyse highly complex imaging to accurately differentiating between normal and abnormal imaging appearances.
