Main duties of the job
Main Duties of the Role - Provide personalised, continuous midwifery care during the antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal periods.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individually tailored care plans for women/birthing people and their families, ensuring their diverse needs are recognised and respected.
- Practise autonomously as a midwife, delivering safe, evidence-based care in line with local and national guidelines.
- Act as a positive clinical role model, demonstrating high standards of professional practice and behaviour at all times.
- Uphold the principles and requirements of The Code: Professional standards of practice and behaviour for nurses, midwives and nursing associates (NMC, 2019).
- Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team to promote high-quality, holistic maternity care.
